This evening, I enjoyed revisiting an old manuscript I wrote around 2002-2004. I was surprised with it and liked it a lot. I was also impressed that it was only 440 words. This was unusual for me at the time as I used to write longer and more complex texts than I would
now. I spent this evening organising it according to the 32 page layout and again I was happy that it almost naturally fitted into this format.
Previously, I hadnāt thought about submitting any of my old texts for querying. I am now thinking again about this. Perhaps, this text is better than I remembered.
As I was reading it again, I wondered about how easily some of the UK specific words could be replaced with US equivalents. I donāt think this would be too difficult at all and these new additions wouldnāt detract from the story.
Iām going to revisit all texts to see which ones have stood the test of time. I will need to do some work on writing effective queries next.
