Rejection arrived 🐾

I was keeping quiet and secretly counting the days since I sent my three manuscripts to an agent in the US. Today, I got that ‘No’ email. So disappointing! I was really hoping for some good news. Strangely, the agent only made reference to the first manuscript that I queried with in the meeting and gave no mention to the other two I sent.

As the email said, and as we know, rejection is commonplace in the publishing world. Doesn’t make it any easier though 😞 It’s the getting back up and carrying on writing and submitting to agents that is the challenging part. I have found this really tricky in the past, so I will have to try extra hard this time.

Sadly, there was no feedback to work on, which is a shame. I also decided only to send one query at a time. Now i need to decide which one next. I’m not sure my ability to write queries is that strong. I might use the #writementor site to get some feedback on my queries.
