Life just got in the way 🐾

I was hoping to get on with my research for my next non-fiction picture book this evening, but life got in the way! I have two children with complex special educational needs and sometimes they both have demands that just exceed our personal resources! We now have some peace and I’m exhausted and not fit for anything.

Luckily, I have some days off work this week when children will be at school, so hopefully I can research and start the writing. It will be worth the wait, I’m sure.

I‘m also wondering about a lot of queries I sent back during mid-April and whether the radio silence means it’s a no 🤔 A number of the agents on Query Manager say a high number of days is a no. I also wonder whether they have replied and I might have missed it, but really I know that’s not possible.

Let’s hope I have a few days of calm to get on ✏️ 📖
