Great advice! 🐾

I have read and engaged with so

many interesting webinars, podcasts, workshops and conferences over the last few months. Each one yields different learning and things to think about. Even when the theme is about picture books, I find I start to think about my novel as well and the opposite way round.

There is advice everywhere and as a consequence, my writing style and art is on a real trajectory of progress. It’s exciting and I am grateful for all the commitment from the professionals we have access to. They are all focused on supporting fellow writers in whatever way they can. I’m grateful 🥰

I suppose my only negative thought lately has been around the upcoming #Pitmad. I think this is because I get so excited and then I feel a real sense of falling from a great height when no agent likes are received by me or anyone I check or Retweet, or perhaps only one at the most.

I have recently engaged with some individuals who were discovered by this means and so then I swing back to the ‘just do it’ atttiude because you‘ve got to be in it to win it. That is absolutely true. I can’t moan if i don’t have a go. So I think what I am saying is keep trying. My style in writing in general as well as pitches will have changed each time and one day it may just be my turn.
